A fabulous mid century jewelry piece from 1968-70 signed Kenneth Jay Lane seahorse figure brooch with large oval green cabochon in the center, one ruby red rhinestone for the eye and clear rhinestones throughout the creature’s body.
This piece was part of the Fantasy Animal Collection and can be seen in Mr. Lane’s own book “Faking It” on pages 94-95.
Kenneth Lane has been designing jewelry for himself since 1963 and people such as First Lady Jackie Kennedy, movie stars Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor as well as Princess Diana have worn is designs.
